Preparation for the Battle of Baltimore -
Thursday July 22nd, 2010 10:40:26 PM
By: George Baker

Hello Team 007,

I hope everyone’s summer is going well. It is time to be preparing for the Battle of Baltimore. We will be meeting on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the new Perry Hall Library (on Honeygo Boulevard) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the meeting room. The agenda for the meeting is to prepare Thunderbot3 for the competition. The three main areas we are concentrating on. They are shorting the distance the robot travels during autonomous mode, moving the kicker forward 1 inch to decrease interference with the front bumper, and changing kicker spindles. How much we accomplish depends on how many people attend the meeting. If no one can make it, we will go to the competition with the robot as is. The library will allow bag lunches in the meeting room. The team will not supply food or drinks during the event. Please RSVP to me via email (gbaker@bcps.org) by noon on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

Sincerely,
George Baker

Summer -
Monday June 21st, 2010 02:24:30 AM
By: Kevin Hui

Hello to all members,

It is summer break already, and you may be wondering about what we need to do during the summer.

One thing you must first understand is that we cannot have any meetings at Parkville High due to the renovations of the A-Building.

Over the summer, we may be doing some VEX stuff outside of the campus (location pending). It is extremely important to keep up to date with e-mails, and sometimes phone calls, of important days to meet.

Next, we have the Battle of Baltimore and the Duel on the Delaware off-season events coming up. We need all the support bringing the equipment to those events.

If you do not have anything to do, think about design ideas for the VEX challenge ( http://www.vexforum.com/wiki/index.php/Round_Up ).

As I said, keep up-to-date with the announcements sent though email, phone, and the site. We do not want to be short of people when it is time for the events. We will see you then.

Meeting on Wednesday, June 9th -
Tuesday June 8th, 2010 04:43:01 PM
By: David Caplan

There will be a team meeting on Wednesday, June 9th at 2:30 in room 313. The purpose for the meeting is move the equipment for the pit area and Thunderbot 3 to a storage location for the summer.

Due to the renovations to the building that are starting, the team will not have access to anything stored at Parkville High until August 14th. The Battle of Baltimore is on August 6th. Hence, in order to prepare for the competition, the team will have to local offsite temporally.

When the move is completed, the students will be returned to Parkville High School for pickup. The estimated completion time for the move is between 5:00 PM. If you have any questions, please contact me at gbaker@bcps.org.

Sincerely,
Mr. Baker
